How long will it take to get my sling?
I mail all my slings with USPS Priority Mail within three days. It usually takes less than a week to receive your sling once I have payment and fabric information. On rare occasions it may take a week or longer. All packages are sent with USPS tracking information. You can always contact me if you have not received your sling in an appropriate amount of time.
Postage Rates and Worldwide Shipping?
I do ship worldwide and within the United States. The postage within the US is $5.00 for one sling. When multiple slings are sold, you will need to contact me for a consolidated shipping rate. For worldwide shipping, I charge for the Global Priority Mail which is usually $9.00-$15.00. Contact me for more details.
Do you really deliver to the Anchorage area?
Yes, I will deliver to any home, office, or establishment in the Anchorage/Eagle River area. I won't deliver to the valley but I will meet you in town and give it to you. Due to the arrival of my twins, this option is not currently available. I will be delivering slings again but probably not until January. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. You can pick up your sling and I will remove the shipping charges but I can't travel with two newborns and a two year-old. Sorry!
I live outside the US ... Can you mark the sling as a gift on the customs form or list it at a lower value?
No. Misrepresentation on a Customs Form is mail fraud and a federal criminal offense.
My fleece sling is too small. What now?
Fleece slings are really quite snug when you put them on without a baby in them. The fleece stretches much more than the cotton sateen or twill so the fleece slings are made smaller. That way, when you do get your little pumpkin in there, it should fit perfect. If not, you can always exchange. Look for this graph to help you find the correct sizes.
I'm pregnant but want a sling now.
When you a pregnant, you can still get a very accurate size by measuring your back from shoulder to opposite hip. Please make sure and let me know you are pregnant so I can add a size or two to accommodate chest sizes.
My baby is going to fall right out!
Please check out Wearing It Page for some more hints on how to wear your baby safely and correctly.
Can I exchange my sling or get a different size?
YES!! I want you to be happy! If your sling does not fit, I will modify it free of charge for 10 days. I will also exchange any sling that is in new condition. Please just email me and we can discuss the details. I'll need to know what size you ordered originally and whether it is too small or too large. Also be aware that I might have to exchange your sling with a different fabric. I will contact you first to talk over the details.
Can I get a refund on my sling?
YES! Again, I want you to be happy. If your sling does not work for you, I will refund your money minus shipping charges for 10 days. It does need to be in new condition. Refunds are issued with Paypal or by check.
How do I care for my sling?
My slings are pre-washed so they do not shrink a substantial amount. They are made to be machine washed and dried because babies are messy. Wash in cold or warm water on the delicate cycle. Choose air dry or delicate for your dryer. For best results, air dry it by hanging it on a door, putting on a hanger, or laying it out flat. Repeated machine drying will cause the fabric to fade with time and cause a small amount of shrinkage. Feel free to use an iron on the sateen or twill slings but do not use it on the fleece slings.

What are the differences in fabric types?
I carry three main types of fabric for my slings. All of this fabric has no stretch lengthwise and a small amount widthwise.
- Stretch Cotton Sateen
Out of the stretch fabrics, this is the fabric I sell the most. This fabric is usually printed on one side and a solid color on the other side. This fabric has a slight sheen to it. This fabric comes in solid colors and in a variety of fun prints. They are composed of 97% cotton, 3% Spandex. This fabric is perfect for hot or cold weather.
- Stretch Cotton Twill
This fabric is similar to the cotton sateen fabric. It has a small amount of widthwise stretch and no lengthwise stretch. This does not have a sheen to it and it mostly comes in solid colors. The inside and outside of the sling look the same. They are composed of 97% cotton, 3% Spandex. This fabric is perfect for hot or cold weather.
- Stretch Corduroy
This fabric is the perfect weight for fall and winter. I wear it year-round in Alaska. This fabric is soft and supple with a variety of prints and solids. They are composed of 97% cotton, 3% Spandex. This fabric is perfect for warm or cold weather.
- Stretch Fleece
Fleece slings are perfect for those cool brisk days when you need to go for a walk outside. It is also perfect for inside wear if you wear a t-shirt or if you are one of those folks that is always cold. Fleece has a small amount of widthwise stretch and almost no lengthwise stretch. Because they do stretch a little bit lengthwise, these slings are made smaller than the cotton stretch slings. They will be snug when you put them on but will stretch out when you put the baby in. When you order, just order your normal size. Babies love how soft these slings are. Care of fleece is similar to the other slings. Wash in warm and dry on low. Do not iron fleece. I use 400 gram fleece for a cozy, warm sling.
- Reversible Fleece
This fleece sling is comprised of one layer of fabric but two layers of fleece. It is not wind-proof but it does keep more heat inside than a typical fleece fabric. This is 500 gram fleece so it is thicker than the regular fleece. It still has a little lengthwise stretch so it will be snug without the baby. As soon as you put the baby in the sling, it stretches out a little bit to fit perfectly. These slings are great for cool, cold weather or a baby that really likes to be snuggly warm.

I've heard from a friend in Anchorage that you make other baby carriers and hats for kids?
I have been known to, on occasion, make custom carriers. They are time-consuming for me so I do not make them to sell on a regular basis. Things I have made include podeagis, Mei Tais, and fleece hats for various sized kid. If you are interested in something custom, please contact me to discuss it.
Can I wear more than one baby in the sling or can I wear two slings?
You can do either option although two slings is usually more comfortable than two babies in one sling. Here I have Bella in the Soft Blue Sateen sling and Cora in the Purple Fusion Stretch Twill sling. I recommend that you buy one that is the correct size and one that is the next size up. The blue is a size 23 and the print is a 24.
